Video compression combines resolution, bitrate and encoder settings, and it is the single most effective way to cut delivery size. A 4K clip at a generous bitrate can often be halved without a visible difference at typical viewing sizes, while an already-compressed social export has little headroom left.
Start with resolution: delivering 1080p instead of 4K usually matters more than any bitrate tweak. Then set a bitrate target and check motion-heavy scenes, where compression artifacts appear first. Cloud jobs store the source in R2 only for the processing window.

Why is my compressed video still large?
If the source was already compressed for social platforms, little headroom remains. Reduce resolution, trim the duration, or accept a higher CRF. Very large files should use the cloud workflow with signed upload and automatic deletion.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The VIDEO file is decoded in this browser tab and the VIDEO output is created in memory. Nothing is sent to AIMP6 storage, and closing the tab removes the working data.
Can I convert several VIDEO files at once?
The image workspace accepts multiple files up to the browser memory limit; audio and video jobs run one file at a time because FFmpeg.wasm holds the whole stream in memory. Batch cloud processing is a Pro workflow.
